THE FOUR DETERMINATIONS OF TOLTEC WISDOM
1.- Do not suppose. Don’t take things for
granted.
If you have a doubt, clarify it.
If you suspect, ask.
To suppose makes you invent incredible stories
that poison your soul and zhave no basis.
2.- Honor your words.
Whatever comes out of your mouth is you.
If you do not honor your words you are not honoring yourself, if you do
not honor yourself you do not love
yourself. To honor your words is to honor yourself, it is to be coherent
with what you think and with what
you do. You are authentic and it makes you respectable to others and to
yourself.
3.- Whatever you do, do it the best you can.
If you do so, you will never have to recriminate yourself and regret anything.
4.- Don’t Take things as personal.
Not the worst offense.
Nor the worst disdain.
Nor the worst injure
Forgive and forget the injure.
According to Toltec tradition, if you practice
these four determinations your life can change, that is if you are truly
impeccable with them. In the same proportion that someone wants to hurts
you, it is hurting himself.
